My group ordered burritos & 27 oz Margaritas. Everything was excellent, including the service. Super reasonable prices. Roomy. Not too loud. Highly recommended.
Our dinner was great. We had Enchiladas. The portions are huge. Definitely plan on leftovers. The service is quick. The staff is always attentive and polite. I'm was surprised how quickly we were served. We will be back. It is nice to stay in Waynesville to eat.
Our first visit tonight was a fantastic experience! They were packed at 6:30 on a Saturday night even outside in the fall cold, hostess said there would be a 35 minute wait but we were sitted within 20 minutes, waitress came over immediately to get our drink order and than take our food order. The food was out fast and everything was correct and delicious! Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. We will definitely be back.
First trip to papas and can only say the food is excellent, service excellent, seated with no wait time , around 5pm on a Saturday. Place was full. Great experience, portion s were huge brought half home. Prices very reasonable $8.00 for cheese and bean burrito enough for 2. Can't wait t go back.
We went again this evening (second time since opening) and I have to say, things have improved. We were seated within 30 minutes (which was the estimated time), Someone decided that salt is a good thing, so we didn't have to salt the salsa, along with everything else. My husband's Papa's fajitas were fantastic, along with my rice and beans. The only thing that wasn't great was my shredded beef tacos. No seasoning what so ever. I would have expected a fairly flavorful marinade, or at least a rub to give some flavor, but it was pretty much shredded beef that had been boiled in water, without the benefit of even an onion or veg to give a little flavor to the stock. Here's a tip guys, if you want to make tasty shredded beef, take your roast, sear it in a hot cast pan with a rub of chile's, paprika, salt and pepper, then roast it low and slow with onions and garlic and about a cup of beef stock in the pan.. Until they start doing something like this, don't even bother with shredded beef. Otherwise, everything was great! And they still make the best margarita's around!
