This place is awesome! I loved speaking with people who work there great people great service I can't say enough good things! And oh yes the food is top-notch!!
Best seafood and true Cajun recipes! Servings are huge. My husband and I made 4 meals out of one bowl of red beans and rice with sausage on our first visit. Today they had FRESH softshell crabs, lightly battered and fried crisp. Gumbo was the best I ever had, including gumbo I’ve had in NOLA. Shrimp was delicious, lightly battered and fried crisp...not at all bread-y. Don’t miss the pecan bread pudding even if you have to start your meal with it (since you’ll be too full to get it for dessert!) Our friends are from Cajun country and definitely testify to its being truly authentic! This is just our second visit, but certainly not our last!!
This place is good! My colleague Bruce loves it and wouldn't stop talking about it til we finally went! First time I've had Alligator in years!
I saw a recommendation on Nextdoor Neighbor to try this place and, man, am I glad we did!!! Based on the recommendation, we stopped by for dinner this evening. We need to get the word out about how great the food is...seriously!! I had red beans & rice and chicken tenders. My husband had jambalaya and a breaded pork chop. Oh, my gosh...it was all to die for! We took a huge portion home as we had to save room for the butter pecan bread pudding. It was so good that my husband said, if he were ever on death row, the bread pudding is what he’d choose for his final meal! Now, that’s a serious compliment! Please try this restaurant, you’ll be so glad you did; I am!
Our first time here this evening. Not many tables were taken and the service was promptly at the table with menus and requesting drink orders. They were unfortunately out of Gator bites but there were literally two left but they cooked them for us so we could try them. They were outstanding! My issue now was I only got to eat one! I tried the Gumbo and the wife had the beef and baked mac. Everything was excellent and I have zero reservation about going back. For dessert we tried the pecan bread pudding, again...it was awesome! We got it to go but had a bite of it 15 minutes after leaving. It was cold and there wasn't any typical icing but it was great anyway! I could definitely see this being better hot with a little icing and a scoop of good vanilla ice cream. We both ate our fill and still have enough for a decent lunch tomorrow so the portions are more than adequate. If you like Cajun give them a shot, I know I will be going back to try other menu item...probably the shrimp po'boy next!
