1718 Brewing Ocracoke

Delicious as always! Ocracoke very busy for the pirate festival, but the person running the counter tonight (10/28) was so friendly and welcoming. We got pork sliders, jasmine rice and grilled catch of the day (delicious 😋 flounder yum). There aren't words to describe how good that all was! I love the buzzers to alert you when your food is ready! The counter person even ran a remake up because the buzzer malfunctioned. We don't drink but the food was amaze-balls.

Amazing variety of beers and don't forget to order food (pretzel, nachos, (not so little) sliders). Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy your brews.

See the picture for some current offerings. I like room temperature beer, so there wasn't anything here for me. It's a little odd that the German beer is cold, but I imagine for other people the drinks were pretty good. Nice place.

The beer is excellent. We have a lot of experience with craft beer over the last 30+ years, and this brewery is doing a great job.

The food, meh. The red drum in the fish tacos was fresh and good, but who uses stale hard shell corn taco shells in 2022? The 1970s called, they want their tacos back. The sliders were fine. The beef and blue cheese was the best of the three.

I would happily come back for the beer.

I miss this brewery and beer so much when I am not on the Island. I love their style and variety of beers. I usually visit this place about once a day when I am on the island. The staff is always amazing. Make sure to try a flight if you are visiting for the first time.
