Jerniman's Campground

Clean, quiet, safe campground. Excellent location by Ocracoke Station. Walk to 1718 Brewery, Howards, Jason's. Gas station and store right there, bakery across. Large, grassy spaces. Place was bug sprayed one night but did not seem to help. Bring bug repellant. No wifi.
Bathrooms could be cleaner but i blame messy campers, not owners. #4 bath house had hot water in sink but not shower during the 4 days we were there. (Ragland #9)

Jerniman's is our go to place whenever we go to our happy place. They treat you well, keep the place clean and cheerful, and do their best to accommodate whatever you need. Definitely recommend!

We spent four days there last week. A great place to explore Ocracoke from. Clayton and Drew couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Remember, this is Ocracoke. If you’re looking for Sea Island or Jekyll or Duck, this isn’t it (thankfully). Also remember that the island is still recovering from Hurricane Dorian. But if you’re looking for a laid back place to kick back, you can’t do much better.

This is a great campground. My girlfriend and I are new to glamping and Drew was always happy to come to our lot to help us with any technical issues we were having. Lots of fun restaurants are within walking distance. I look forward to coming back soon.

This is our happy place on Ocracok. The folks are friendly, helpful, and definitely take care of your needs. Place is clean, amenities work as promised, just all around a fantastic place to camp out. It's at the north end of the village and quiet, clean, and simple. Exactly what we need when we escape the mainland. Thank you to the staff! Don't be misled by older, lower reviews. The folks here bought after Matthew blew through and turned this place around.
