Flying Melon

Had their Parmesan encrusted Flounder and it was absolutely delicious. For dessert the lemon cheesecake was pretty good but the crème brûlée that I usually get is even better. Always a great meal.

Every year, during vacation, we make a point of the whole family eating here. Superb food and service. My favorite is the Filet Merchandise de Vin dinner and Seared Sea Scallops appetizer. Excellent!

Food was delicious, but the staff just weren’t as friendly as what we are accustomed to. If I were to only rate the food, it would be a 4 or 5…but the attitude of the staff really took away from the full experience. I will say our waitress was the nicest of the bunch, but from what we could tell she was the only waitress there, so we were left waiting for our drinks, and refills.

Great place to eat! Our waitress was the best (Camille). The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The drinks were great too. Its a perfect place to park the golf cart and relax for a while. The place fills up quickly, so don't be surprized if you have to wait a little bit. Would love to go back!

If you're looking for fine dining with down to earth country appeal, this is the place. If it's five people or more, they suggest reservations. Be ready to loosen the wallet a little, and feel good about it when the evening concludes. Flying Melon is a several course meal experience. The bar prepares well made mixed drinks. Fried green tomatoes on the apps list aren't to be missed. Fresh seafood selections are favorites, though the filet mignon choices are also delectable. Find room for dessert. The key lime pie and chocolate torte are especially decadent. As befits such an establishment, staff goes out of the way to bring a memorable evening. Treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience in an unforgettable place.
