Great restaurant that is very popular with locals and tourists. We went in the off-season, but the food was great and the service very attentive. Fresh seafood and oysters are their main entrees but I was craving a steak and the ribeye did not disappoint!
We stopped in late Thursday night not knowing anything about this place. The atmosphere was awesome and was a true Island vibe. The food was amazing and the service was great. The food came out super quick which was great because we needed to catch the 10:30 ferry out of there. This place was one of the many highlights of my trip to the Outer Banks. Next time I'm on the island I will definitely be stopping in for more than just food because it looked like they had a great beer and drink selection.
We arrived on the island on the first people ferry of the day. We were looking to try a different restaurant & the Ocracoke Oyster Company checked the boxes: opens earlier than most at 11:00am, have draft beer, fresh seafood. The draft beer was local & cold. There weren’t many draft options but the IPA from 1718 brewing was just what we were looking for. I had tuna tacos which were a generous serving & cooked exactly as ordered. Our server was very friendly & personable. I highly recommend trying this place, the menu has a nice variety, prices are very reasonable.
We will definitely make this our go to place while visiting Ocracoke.
After touring Ocracoke Island and enjoying the day. It was really fantastic that Ocracoke Oyster Company was open the last week of December 2021. A lot of people were there, enjoying their fine cuisine. Our group of 6 had varied items and everything was delicious. Next time I visit Ocracoke I will look forward to visiting this establishment again. Customer service is excellent
This award winning restaurant is the sole restaurant opened in Ocracoke Village during the off season and this place was packed! The 70° sunny weather after Christmas had tourists visiting in force. The OOC had no problem keeping pace with the waves of tourists coming over via ferry. The menu is simple but full of delicious offerings especially the award winning crab cake. You can’t go wrong with the crab cakes dinner. Trust me. After dinner take a stroll to the Ocracoke Lighthouse for some sightseeing in the Village.
