The Sweet Monkey

Custom cake created and accommodated my natural flavoring allergy. The cake was amazing! I butchered it due to excitement, but imagine a pure vanilla flavor cake with a perfect cake “crust”, and in the icing was chunks of edible cookie dough! Decorated with... you guessed it! Fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Only bad thing was having to drive from Kingsport, TN to NC to pickup the cake. Why can’t there be a Sweet Monkey in Johnson City, TN? Or at least a bakery that’s willing to use ingredients without “natural flavorings” and other food additives? Food business people take note: without solid customer service you lose customers, without customers you’ll lose your business. This is why I will happily drive from another state to get great food and exceptional service.

Hollie doesn’t treat customers the way she wants to be treated, she treats them the way they want to be treated.

I think they are closed though they post being open? They dont answer phone during open hours and always dark during posted open hours..at least thats my experience since March. I havent seen any posts about closure, or limited service, take out pizza would be amazing right now!
So just heads up its a mystery and i hope they come back because they are missed!

This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I go to a lot of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very welcoming and the cooking they offer is so appetizing. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent meal here. Highly recommended.

From the first moment you come to that place team give you a comfortable feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a good place to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. yummy meals, experienced chef de cuisine, honest cost and professional service. Warmly recommended.

A true gem for the community of Marshall and the tourists who stop by to check out the town! My husband and I come here all the time- the food is good and high quality. Hollie really cares about her food and you can tell. A lot of her dishes blow us away! She has a wide variety of speciality pizzas, fancy dinners, beautiful brunches and breakfasts, unforgettable lunches. To top it off she's an excellent baker and her desserts are sooo good. She does it all! The woman is a food genius and I am extremely grateful to have this restaurant nearby! We literally can't live without Hollie's cooking.
