First in Flight Bar

The California roll was so fresh and tasty. Frankly I was shocked how delicious it was. That along with a Kirin beer and people watching really made me feel better about my 2 hr layover!

Surprisingly good sushi with good portions and normal sushi restaurant pricing. Food was good and would recommend if in the sushi'e foodie mood.

Initially had the wrong food brought out to me but was just a mix up and with a quick swap it was resolved.

It's a decently sized bar in the middle of the airport atrium. Lots of great views with good selection of beers including local drafts. There's a sushi shop attached to it that offers a good selection as well. The bar is named for the large mechanical mobile in the middle. It's a public art piece aptly named "First in Flight" that showcases handcrafted models of famous flights from history. Interesting fact: the model of the space station has lights that flash SOS in Morse code.

I always try to grab sushi from this one when passing through on a connection in Charlotte. I've tried spicy tuna, veggie rolls, and spicy salmon. They all taste very fresh!

Excellent service and food! Eat here almost every time I come through and have never been disappointed! I highly recommend giving them a try, I'm sure you will not regret it.
