Got the two meat platter. Delicious pork BBQ, and melt in your mouth brisket.. Loved the okra and coleslaw, and green beans. Made for a full meal for the two of us.
When it comes to barbecue, and specifically brisket, this is one of the best ones I have had, and not just at an airport, but everywhere. Their brisket is dry rub, and they give you a side of vinegar based sauce. The option of signs are also well-made and tasty. For example, the collard greens are not sweet. They also have one of the best pecan pies I have ever had. The prices are also right, more so for an airport. It is a cafeteria style restaurant, where you stand in line, choose your items, pay, and go sit down to eat them.
Had a layover in Charlotte so I stopped in. The board is very confusing on what they offer? Apparently the ‘two’ or ‘three’ meat platter does not allow ribs and brisket? Okay? Tried the ribs, the cut I got was extremely fatty, it happens? The BBQ sauce was good and the coleslaw was good as well, very creamy. Overall I would just say average on the overall experience.
Ordered the pulled pork BBQ sauce ,Mac and cheese ,corn bread and fries.... The pulled pork wasn't too bad however the Mac and cheese was way below standard. Fries were just warm... Not a bad bite for an airport meal , nothing to rave about...
