Zio Casual Italian

The food was good but not really what I was expecting. Got chicken parmesan which was supposed to be over fettuccine but was over what looked like egg noodles, not the worst thing but yeah. I was also expecting more cheese and maybe a slice of mozzarella on top but did not have anything like that. The website says family style but it was definitely not portioned that way. All in all the food was good just not what I was expecting

What a wonderful evening we enjoyed at Zio''s. Cozy Italian atmosphere for a family birthday. Live music was a big bonus. We enjoyed a sweet duet of from an excellent guitarist and the silky smooth voice of a great singer (and just the right volume allowed family conversation). The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our waitress had a wonderful sense of humor, and the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to our 14 year old granddaughter. Where do you find personal touch like that?

Best place to take a date and not break the bank, yet have a fantastic time! I've been coming here for years and have never had to wait too long or had bad food. They're somewhat knowledgeable on wine too.

Awesome grilled pizzas and delicious pastas and salads. One of our favorite places to order take out, prices aren't too bad compared to some Italian restaurant. Parking lot can be a little tight sometimes, but it's always a good sign when a restaurant stays busy!

Absolutely the best casual Italian restaurant in Charlotte. Superb pizza, with the thinnest crust in the South ("the hot pie"). Extraordinary special dishes, especially with fresh fish. House made pasta. Garden to table from their fresh garden out back. Charlotte Agenda just named Zio's the best unknown restaurant in Charlotte. It's all true. Update: now Zio us considered one of the top 5 Italian restaurants in Charlotte!
