Hong Phat Deli

Discovered Hong Phat about a month ago and quickly became a loyal customer. I've had the Hibachi chicken & shrimp and grilled chicken salad. Both are made to perfection, seasoned well, and portions large enough for dinner later. Not only is the food good, so is the service!!

No bad. Well cooked. As the place matures I think it will be better. I didn't dislike the food or the service. Just a little bland for my taste expectations. Name should change in my opinion. To make the place their own. Courteous service! Which will bring me back. Clean place and good service just needs a little tweaking to take it over the top.

I ABSOLUTELY loved this place! My family and I drove from Florence, SC for the experience because we heard word of mouth how good it was. The menu is exotic! I had their "Phat Phat Shrimp" Fries which had shrimp, cheese, sour cream in it as well as an order of wings. I also ordered lemonade that was DELICIOUS! The staff was very friendly too! The place has a clean interior and eccentric designs.
There's also a video game machine there! We definitely enjoyed myself in this black-owned asian restaurant ! I highly recommend!

As a Charlotte native, I feel very inclined to leave a review. I ate at (the original) Hong Phat for at least 20 years and let me tell you Hong Phat Deli DID NOT disappoint!!! I ordered 12 wings and fries (which the fries came in a separate container, unlike Ms Lee used to put in the same box) and I paid $15 and I can assure you 2 people could have eaten easily!! The vibe of the restaurant is awesome! We can now see what's happening in the back lol nice music, clean, open and bright and everyone was very pleasant! My ONLY complaint is I got blue cheese dressing and I asked for ranch and the dressing is 50 cents but I lose 50 cents in my car so I'm not complaining. Didn't really need the ranch anyway! 5 Stars from me!! Way to put a nice modern feel on an old Charlotte establishment!! I WILL BE BACK!!!!!
