Everything was wonderful except when the waitress brought us out some rotten scallops.... I've been working in the culinary industry for years I know what a scallop is supposed to smell and look like.... the friend that I was with noted that the scallops smelled fishy she had never had scallops I immediately looked at her and told her that scallops should never smell that way they are very fresh smelling shellfish. I took the dish from her immediately smelled it knew it was bad. Just to be sure I tasted a little corner of a scallop. Spit it out immediately, I then politely told the waitress that the scallops were bad / unfresh.... And her reply was we get fresh scallops in every day... from working in the culinary industry and various restaurants I have never worked in a restaurant that gets fresh food in every single day maybe every other day but who knows but hey I could be wrong. The point is the fish was rotten and it was still served. Either the kitchen staff is not on par did not care or is not well enough trained to know that the fish was rotten. However other than that incident the food was good. I just recommend you watch the shellfish.
Delicious meal! Can't beat their scallops! My husband enjoyed their Chicken Cacciatore a great deal, as well. Without meaning to, we chanced upon a way to get what we believe to be the best seat in the house at this family style restaurant (a small intimate table for two set off to the side): make a reservation asking for Table 99 to enjoy a private meal. Good luck!
Good food, good atmosphere. Enjoyed the cocktails quite a bit. Had the "Skip the Wine" cocktail and enjoyed it. The salmon was excellent. Penne a la vodka was also very tasty and a very good portion size. Not too much. We will eat here again. They also offer free parking and a private entrance to the theater.
The chocolate hazelnut cake is delicious!! Always good food and occasional live music..can't beat it! Perfect date night restaurant
