The pretzels here are to die for - salty and soft - with their special German cheese (that is cold and mushy) this place is a total win! Also tried the potato pancakes with Apple Sauce (a little too tried for my liking) and the classic sausage and potatoes which was also delicious. They have the most amazing German beers on tap as well and it's a great spot for either an intimate dinner or a large group - even for brunch.

Great service after our Beer Bourbon & BBQ event... Food was delicious. Potato chips n chicken nuggets w a variety of dipping sauces. Can't wait for summer outings at VBGB.

Oh my goodness oh my goodness oh my goodness! For a visitor to Charlotte, I can say that cities with the best wings I had in a long time. To top it off I stopped to watch the NBA All-Stars shoot off oh, and to get something to eat after a long day of attending all-star weekend parties. I was a bit intoxicated, therefore I can't remember what wing flavor I chose but I believe it was the house Wings flavor "Wango Tango", as it struck me as an interesting name for a wing flavor and I was feeling a bit adventurous .
They were perfectly cooked the slaver was phenomenal and I wanted to take a whole order back to my hotel with me just so I could continue to experience the flavor. If I lived in Charlotte's I'm sure I'd be a regular visitor to VBGB. ????

Great spot with good food and drinks. Plenty of space, chill atmosphere.... But the music. It is INSANELY loud. Far too loud for any establishment that isn't a music venue. There are many places where I have to speak up to be heard over music, which is already not cool. But I was literally yelling to my friends over the music here, and left because of that. Seriously, cool your jets on the decibels, Skid Row.

I have always enjoyed VBGB but they really stepped up the plate when planning a promotion ceremony for my husband. They were so easy to work with in getting the details set up. Quite a few folks who came to the party had never been and had a great time. VBGB serves local craft beers, delicious food, and has an outdoor patio area that is heated in the winter. Great staff. Definitely a perfect place to host any party.
