City Barbeque

This is by far the best barbecue joint in town! The food is so delicious and tender and the portions are amazing. Let's not forget how good the side dishes were. Definitely a casual place where you can bring the entire family and enjoy a good cooked meal. The place was clean and was amazing. Definitely will go back there when I'm craving BBQ again!

I really enjoy this restaurant. The customer service is outstanding and the food is consistently good. They will provide you with samples, if you’re curious about anything on the menu.

They were busy but the service was still on point. The reason for the four stars is that the okra that I got wasn't great. It was more soggy than crispy and I love crispy okra. All of my other sides (green beans and collard greens) were delicious.

I’d like to say WOW to start! This place may look like your average BBQ joint, but it is anything but average! My family and I came in for lunch on kids eat free day to try City BBQ. It was busy as expected, but the line moved quickly and food didn’t take long at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is always a plus.
Now, the food, it was every bit of amazing! I personally had the pork and it was very tender and delicious. Love that you can choose your own sauces, (swine wine is a great choice for pork). The collard greens and potato salad were crazy good and don’t forget dessert, the chocolate cake was a slice of heaven! :)
Definitely make it a point to stop in to City BBQ in Matthews and treat yourself to a wonderful meal. Oh and download the app to get $5 off your first visit!
