Azteca Mexican Restaurants

Loud crazy place. Our wait staff was very inexperienced. Took forever to get our food. And they got it wrong three times. When we got our correct items, the did was pretty good.

I would probably go to another restaurant in the future.

This was my first visit here. The place is highly decorated contributing to the dining experience. Our party had a variety of the menu items. Everything was great. Had the guacamole appetizer which is prepared at the table. Excellent.

They are heavy handed with the lettuce which I really like but there was a bit of an odor from it that I suspect is from earlier preparation and storage.

The place was busy with a few waiting by text time we left. A good sign from repeat customers.

We went to Azteca for a Party. We Have a Large Family, Over 25. They did take Reservations and Our Table Was Ready Within 10 Minutes of Arriving. The Service and Food Was Very Good. Henry is our Favorite Waiter But He Was Not Available For Our Party. The Gentleman that Makes the Table Side Guacamole is So Very Sweet and Kind and Is Very Grateful for His Tips. I would Give it a 5 But Felt Like We We're Being Hurried Out Cause They We're Busy. Other Than that No Issues and All Was Great.

This is by far one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have been too. One of several family owned restaurants, the staff is always friendly and courteous. Service is excellent and you are never rushed, even if you arrive there 15 minutes before closing. The food is always good. I recommend the fresh guacamole to start, made at the table. Everything is reasonably priced with ample portions.This is one place that is always on the top of my list when I travel to Charlotte.

In a sea of Mexican restaurants, it's really hard for a place to stand out. Authenticity is a gamble, and so is good quality. When you do find a good place, the prices might not be as good.

Azteca wins in every department. Their menu is varied, the food is pretty authentic, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are excellent. The women often wear colorful traditional Mexican style dresses. Sometimes they even have a Mariachi band!

My personal favorite is the Mexican stir fry, but classic favorites like enchiladas and tacos work just fine. The guacamole (which they will hand-make at your table) is awesome, if a bit pricey. The cost is welcome for the generous and delicious helping of guacamole you get.

The desserts are awesome too. The flan at this place is to die for, seriously. I can't come here without getting it.

All in all, Azteca is hands down my husband's favorite place and where my whole family likes to go for a casual dinner. Would give 6 stars if I could.
