    The staff is great. Very good at making sure you have everything you need. The food however is just OK. Not really sure what they are famous for and not so sure that they know either. Nothing on their menu that really stood out to me. Your personal experience however may vary. I had not been to a Applebee's in many years so this recent visit was a rediscovery. What I discovered is that I had not been missing anything by not being a patron over the years. My fries were cold, the sauce on my main dish could have been made with ketchup and the sentiment at my table was about the same with everyone else. Not horrible but definitely nothing to write home about.

    Pro: Pair of Jacks drink was so good!!! The food here is better then every Apple Bees in Nee York City. I’m from New York. My waiter was very nice

    Con: The wait time to receive food was horrific. Don’t buy the unlimited all you can eat for $15.99 because they take light years to serve you another plate.

    This place is pretty consistent. It is a nice family restaurant. Affordable for a family of 4. We had some bad orders but the manager quickly took care of it and turned our experience around. I think that managers should often walk and ask customers for their feedback. If you can spin service around while the person or family is there, you will get great reviews!

    My husband and I came two nights in a row. The first night, it took a little bit to get seated, and then our server was okay at first, but then she was completely inattentive and seemed annoyed the rest of our evening there. It was bad enough that we asked for a manager, who totally turned the situation around. Nick gave us a $15 off card and asked us to give them another try, apologizing for our experience.

    So we did give them another try while we’re still visiting in the Charlotte area. Second night was okay, but not great. Server was consistently awesome, but their card processing apparently stopped working while we were there, and the server that had been so unpleasant the night before came over to deliver this news when we were waiting for our check. I told her we didn’t have cash to pay with and she shrugged and said, I don’t know how we’re going to settle this then. Frankly, it’s not our fault as customers that their card processing was down, and other businesses with the same situation have not made that my problem in the past. We’re visiting the area and returning home tomorrow, and this girl has just been solidifying not to return to Applebee’s when we next visit Charlotte. Thankfully, we had a gift card and they wrote the number down and took that as payment, so things didn’t escalate.

    Just a bummer that this place couldn’t be a smooth transaction and pleasant experience when we gave them two chances.
