One of the best spots in the area. I think I might become a regular.

The baos were delicious and the meats were cooked perfectly! Ramen was a bit spendy but theres not many places in the city that can do it this well. Worth it!

Pork bell bao was pretty tasty, I'd definitely come back for a little bite again

Yea the lines are long, cause there’s only two food spots open for everyone to go to. I think they move pretty fast. They might also be a bit expensive, but the head chef of Boa + Broth (Larry Schreiber) was the executive chef of Good Food on Montford, and it shows in their food. $12 for easily the best ramen you could find in North Carolina, doesn’t sound too steep, and 3 Baos could easily fill you up. I’m happy with my experience at Bao + Broth.

I got the bulgogi and schnitzel buns, and the house rice cakes with pork belly kimchi.

It was opening day so the line was long and service wasn’t the fastest. So that’s ok, I’ll survive. They were also running out of menu items as my time in line progressed.

The buns were DELICIOUS. Very very tasty and unique. The schnitzel bun was a huge surprise in uniqueness and flavor. Bulgogi bun was good but without as many complex flavors. Both buns were cold, which was a disappointment. But again, it was opening day and the place was a mad house.

The house rice cakes with pork belly kimchi was by far the best Kimchi entree I have ever had. Flavors and textures were literally perfect. I could not have been more pleased with that.

All in all, looking forward to visiting again when the newness dies down some to try the pork belly buns and ramen. Give this a go if you’re in Optimist Hall ??
