We ordered the Summer Vegetarian Creation. The waitress did not describe accurately what we received on our plate. She described it as a stuffed roasted pepper. What we got was white rice with little tiny slivers of red and yellow peppers (maybe a tablespoon of pepper) with 7 thin slices of zucchini and yellow squash with green pesto down graded from their usual tomato flavor. This dish had no flavor and was salty. They charged $21.00 for this entree. It truly was a cup and half of cheap WHITE rice with squash and specks of pepper. It cost them maybe $2.00 in food. Unbelievable. I was shocked.
this is restaurant brings it all to together flawlessly. from the moment you arrive to the moment you check out the staffs attention to detail is top tier. There was not one item on the starter menu that i would say i wouldn't eat again. i ordered them all, each one was a culinary experience all their own. the entrees were presented amazingly and served hot to the entire table not one person in my party had to wait for their plate while others ate. Nobody needed to ask for a refill on drinks, they were full constantly.
dessert was over the top great!! all around i couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere then what was here at Bonterra. this restaurant is a hidden gem in Charlotte that if you haven't tried it yet you are seriously missing out on top tier dining experience. the chef and staff at this establishment take pride in what they do, and they do it well. i highly recommend trying Bonterra, there will be no disappointments here.
Had dinner here this past Friday. We split a steak, had a soup; Caesar salad, drinks, wine, dessert.
All good; waiter and staff excellent.
Negative. The chocolate “bomb” dessert ....too much going on, too complicated, too much over sweet powerful chocolate.
Thus, huge wine list vs very limited dessert menu.
Management should seriously rethink and review.
But overall for a beautiful Friday night meal highly recommended.
Very pleased
