Open Rice Metropolitan

Great atmosphere, workers, and food!! My experience was amazing. I celebrated my early birthday and Mae was amazing. She was so sweet and nice. The servers also all sang Happy Birthday to me and my dad. 10000/10

A wonderful dim sum experience with an extensive dim sum menu! Bright and airy, excellent quality! Bonus: there were a few items I’ve never seen before.

All the favorites are here (pork buns, shumai, egg custard, sesame balls, har gow and fried shrimp balls).
There were also some new items that I was super excited about that you do not see on all dim sum menus such as spicy jellyfish.

Here is a surprising dish we were most excited about. They had baked barbecue soft pork buns, okay, so that is fairly typical, but they also had baked barbecue pork puff buns. And the puff pastry was amazing! So flaky. My southern mother would be proud of how flaky this was if she had baked it herself. Gosh, I would come back and just have an entire table full of those pork puffs! We ordered a second round of them. If I was not full, I would’ve ordered a third!

They also have a gorgeous selection of bubble tea and Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea. Great beverage selection! The place was not cheap, because it was really good quality. The small buns were 6.95, medium was 7.95 and the larger plates were 8.95. But everything was excellent.

Prepare for a little bit of a wait if you go during peak lunchtime. It was wonderful to go on a Sunday and see all the families dressed up!

First time Dim Sum and definitely not my last! A buddy brought me here and showed me the way to do it! Very friendly staff and attentive. Pricing and menu kind of confusing(for dim sum), but you will be ok. Great selection of Saki. Free parking garage across the street. I hear their Regular menu is good too.

Our selections were nothing short of delightful, reminiscent of the vibrant flavors found in Hong Kong. Notably, the dim sum dishes stood out, leaving us craving more.

While the quality of the food is commendable, it’s worth noting that the prices lean toward the higher end. Despite this, our overall experience was positive, and we wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to fellow food enthusiasts.
