The shawarma tacos are a hidden gem of the city; and a solid beer selection. Really good. Awesome friendly place and the kid even picked out some bubbles.
Checked out Sip City for the first time and had a decent experience. The location is fantastic and just what the area needs. The beer selection is nothing special and no different than what you can buy from the source within a short drive. This was highly disappointing. We tried the beef shawarma and curly fries and were pleasantly surprised. Don't expect any dipping sauces aside from ketchup though. Some other things we noted:
- No bathroom signage to indicate where its at
- Only one trash can inside for a decently large space
- Lack of instructions of how to get out food after ordering (we ended up just waiting a bit and walking outside to where the food truck is parked)
- No self-serve water, if you want water you have to purchase
Had a great visit here. Super friendly and helpful service in the market. Excellent food from the food truck- the falafel is it some of the best I've had in CLT and the hummus was delicious. Matthew was friendly and you could taste the care he put into preparing and serving the food. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and esp welcoming of lgtbq+ which is an added bonus!
Matthew did an amazing job. He listens about my spice allergies and how serious it is towards spicy food and made our dishes custom and they were amazing. Highly recommend this amazing service and location. Always a great experience
Best new place in Plaza! Great prices, great service, great food. What more could you ask for?? Best place for drinks day or night. Food truck is on point
