    I've been to bbq places all over the state. This is truly one of the most authentic and delicious. The prices are great and the staff are friendly.

    It should be called Doug Sauls fried chicken and seafood. The fried chicken was fantastic that was about it and prices are good. We were sriving through on a road trip.

    Very good BBQ, Chicken and fried seafood. This is kind of the northern and western most range of the good stuff. Better by far than anything in Rocky Mount but just minutes away. Highly recommended excellent food at this price point. You want to eat here if you're reasonably nearby. Worth a detour off I-95 if you're traveling at mealtime.

    This place has the incredible eastern style barbecue and veggies that have long left Wake County. We had steamed shrimp, BBQ, green beans, steamed cabbage and Brunswick stew. It was all exceptional! If you are in Wake county and you miss all the good old barbeque places that have gone out of business (Don Murray's,etc.), drive to Nash County and visit Doug's. You won't be sorry!

    This place is awesome! No frills but the flavor of the food is amazing! They are always busy ..but always friendly. They have take out in back. They open Wednesday thru Saturday. No phone...they also cater and you wont beat the prices....they also serve seafood...variety of veggies...hushpups...and more. U go to counter to order they bring it to your table...
