Was down there over the weekend and seen a sign that said they were closed. Does anyone know why they've closed the doors?
Southern Cooking pork chops with gravy was delicious
A good, family owned and operated community restaurant in a small town. Experienced cook's because all food is good and portions sufficient: chopped barbecue (a bit spicy), fried/baked chicken, pork chops, greens and cakes. Mom likes the chittlings & hushpuppies. Service is good. Inside furniture & exterior of building is not attractive, but don't be fooled by that - the food is good southern cooking and it is clean inside the restaurant.
Still have one of the best bologna burger. And the herring is always on point. Still highly recommended!
I had the French toast and bacon. It filled me up and everything was hot. The best time to go on the weekend is before 9:30. They receive big orders from the local factories. Breakfast end @ 11.
