Lazy Pirate Island Sports Grill

We were looking for an easy, laid back atmosphere to just hang out and have a bite to eat, but holy mackerel, the prices are outrageous! This is touted as a 'beach bar' in Carolina Beach, but they have Hilton Head pricing. The service was slow, at best. We saw some of the food come out and, in all honesty, it looked very pretty, but we weren't impressed. We got nachos...for about $12 there was only lettuce, cheese sauce (all pooled at the bottom and cool) about 8 kernels of corn and a few beans. No meat at all. Our daughters got the 'mac and cheese' bites...$8. These come frozen from Costco... add a couple of beers for a total of almost $50. Great concept, though...the space is nice.

Fun place. Good food. I had the Black Pearl sandwich and it was delicious. The waitress was great and friendly, as was all of the rest of the staff. I loved the covered outdoor seating. Good vibes.

When we first arrived to this restaurant, I thought we may be too old to eat here! It was very lively and had a sports bar atmosphere. Once we settled in, I didn't feel that way anymore. The drinks were good and the food was excellent. I enjoyed it and will probably return again next year when I am back in the area!

This place was great! I'm actually currently still sitting at the table. My family just left the beach and we're looking for somewhere to have a nice lunch while still Sandy and slightly damp. The food was swift delicious. My stepson loved his baked cheddar Mac n cheese. My "wild thing" was very delicious too. Staff and server were great and very friendly. Would recommend to anyone! Very family friendly with small games to play and a stage.
