Michael's Seafood Restaurant

Great place for a family dinner. Service was fast and friendly. Kids meals were large portions and we had leftovers. It was a bit of a wait in a Tuesday night, but several places to walk to and plenty of outdoor seating. No parking, but complimentary valet parking was provided. Had the seafood chowder and oysters for appetizers and the seafood combination platter with shrimp, scallops and fish for main course. Everything was delicious, would recommend.

Best lunch and dinner in Carolina Beach - hands down. Great chowder, well that is no secret. Great scallops, shrimp, clams, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, crab legs and whatever else they offer. What really sets them apart from nearly everyone else is their excellent customer service - Gabby and James were just great. Coming back for sure if we ever think of coming back to this area. So good!

First time visiting Michael's , we came at dinner time and they were getting busy. We were quickly seated since there was only 2 of us. Greeted quickly by the waitress and drink order taken , after receiving drinks she moved on to other tables before coming back and taking food order. ( Took a while). So we ordered a bowl of Seafood Chowder and main course was Snows cut combo and Shrimp boat. All the food was delicious and large portions. We would definitely recommend. Also a side note if you are looking for fried seafood you will not find it here. This is not that place ????

Absolutely fabulous experience! We’ve visited close to 100 seafood restaurants up and down the east cost of the U.S. and Michael’s definitely made the top 5! We called ahead of time to ask if they took reservations, which they do not. However, the host told us they offer a shuttle service which gives you priority seating when you arrive. Bob picked us up promptly at the time we requested. He provided us with fabulous conversation and was very knowledgeable about the area, as well as the menu. He even had menus available for us to review on the way to the restaurant. When we arrived, our wait was less than 10 minutes. They had a beautiful outdoor area where, James, provided us with top notch service! He was very genuine and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with crab cakes and crab dip which was absolutely delectable! The atmosphere and service was all around fabulous. James and Bob truly made our experience one to remember. Highly recommended!

Michael's is known for its seafood chowder. They are world champions. It is amazing. I always get the snow cut combo. Snow crab legs, boiled shrimp, slaw, corn and garlic mashed potatoes. The crab is cooked fresh and not let sit in a pot of water. Dame with the shrimp. Their shrimp and crab mac and cheese is also amazing. You will not find fried food here. Highly recommend!
