Ocean Bay Seafood

Had lunch here for the first time! Got the fish and chips was delicious. Server was great. Also the manager I've never seen anything like her cleaning the bathrooms! What great team work ! She was very welcoming definitely will be back

The staff were extremely friendly! The food was amazing and so were the prices. I highly recommend taking a break from the normal fast food and enjoying some quality sea food. I had the Cajun Shrimp ???? and had to get something to go for dinner. Very clean and great service.

Good food and not very busy during lunch time. This is not a fast food restaurant serving seafood. Atmosphere was quiet, comfortable and enjoyable. Service was excellent.

Had been waiting for this place to open and was pleased with my experience. I had the blackened catfish, fried okra and steamed spinach. I ate every bite of my meal. The steamed spinach and blackened catfish were exceptional. The calamari was also very good but I didn't dip in the marinara, I always squeeze lemon juice on mine. While it isn't served with lemon, I simply used the one from my iced tea ????.
I found the atmosphere relaxed and pleasant.
The wait staff is very personable and friendly. The only thing I noticed in that area was that conversations between the staff were very audible to the customers. There were no unpleasant conversations between them that I noticed, just a tad louder than expected in the dining area.
I look forward to going back and working my way through the menu. There are many dishes I want to try.
And, I echo a previous posting, I really hope Ocean Bay sticks around in this location. There have been many that have come and gone without success in this spot. Perhaps the perfect match has finally been made.

Great food, but the price of the food is comparable to seafood restaurants on the coast. I had oysters, fried okra and hush puppies. The oysters were fried to perfection. Lightly breaded on the outside and moist on the inside with just enough seasoning. The okra was fried just right and the hush puppies were crunchy on the outside and moist inside with corn fried in the batter. I loved the hush puppies so much I wish there had been more of them!Their calamari is pretty good too. They serve it with a unique COLD homemade marinara sauce. The only complaint I have is that I wish they gave you just a little more food for the price you pay. I've been to other seafood restaurants in NC ( If you've ever been to the Mayflower Restaurants you know what I'm talking about ) and they have seafood stacked, almost falling off the plate, sometimes at a cheaper price than what this restaurant offers on some seafood items. There was also notably a seafood combination plate missing on the menu at this restaurant. Overall, a good new seafood restaurant for the area and I hope the business
can stick around because the spot it's occupying hasn't had much luck with any restaurants being able to take off in that location.
