    I've been to Japan and very few American restaurants do japanese food authentically in my opinion, but this place really does! Moderately priced for how high quality the food is. The most authentic japanese food and experience I've had in the US.

    Since moving to NC, its been hard to find a sushi restaurant that has fresh selection of fish used for various rolls. But I finally found 1 that fits my standards here in Carborro! Here, I've started get the Geisha roll, Master roll, and a 3rd variable roll when I go for lunch (pictured) and have not had a bad experience when either going in or ordering delivery through apps. The fish taste fresh (no fishy odor)and the ingredients combined for each roll makes each bite more enjoyable than the next. It's my favorite local sushi stop! But hurry in during their hours so you can taste and experience the flavors for yourself! Although they dont have a BOGO option on rolls, You STILL wont be disappointed.

    Great staff! Scott is the best waiter around. Sushi is always fresh and tasty.

    Akai Hana has great selection of traditional Japanese food as well as uniquely created specials by the chefs. Sushi and Sashimi are always fresh and prepared with care. Staffs are friendly and easy to communicate with as well. Best Japanese Restaurant in Carrboro/Chapel Hill area for sure!!

    What amazing sushi! They have weekend special sushi that is not on the menu. Our waiter was awesome too. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and was always there when needed. Very attentive. Will 100% be back!
