The setting of this restaurant is beautiful but sadly, the food and service left me wanting. No specials on the Saturday night we dined. No cocktail list was given, only wine, but it was an impressive list. Aaron, our waiter did a great job explaining the menu to us since we inquired about portion sizes. A basket of fresh bread served with fresh grated parmesan and drizzled with olive oil was delightful. We started with three wood grilled crostinis. The N'duja and the Cured Salmon with goat cheese were both nice. No wow factor but good. The Beef Steak Dripping and Sea Salt was delicious and I would order this again. We also ordered the 500 Aged Prosciutto but we never received it. While waiting for our next course an aperitif of lobster bisque was offered and it was divine. A nice touch that elevates this to a finer dining experience. Soon our pasta dished were served. The Burrata Stuffed Ravioli was heavenly, perfectly cooked, and our favorite dish of the evening. Just keep in mind you only get 6 ravioli’s for $23. The Tagliatelle alla Tartufo was simple and I thoroughly enjoyed the rustic mushrooms used. The Pappardelle Bolognese however was a big letdown. My husband described this dish as only having one gear and could have used some fresh herbs and salt. When comparing Il Palio pasta dishes to Oakleaf (3 miles down the road) they both use magnificently fresh pasta but Oakleaf wins hands down. Portion sizes are the same (small-ish) but Oakleaf costs on average $4-9 less and more flavorful overall. Three crostinis, three pasta dishes, a bottle of Prosecco and an after dinner drink set us back $150 without tip. We are glad that we dined here but there are better pasta options in the area and do not think we will return.

The most outstanding and truly wonderful authentic Italian dining I’ve experienced in years. Caprese salad composed of house roasted and prepared sun dried tomatoes, mouth watering mozerrella, fig oil, balsamic and fresh herbs. Just amazingly delicious. The house made pasta was absolutely superb and the bolognese was densely flavorable, immediately reminiscent of Do Forni in Venice. Wait staff, Bryan, host and Mgr. all checked on my table at appropriate times. I could not be more impressed with the quality, flavors and presentation.

Very, very good experience, food was very good, service was very good. Only reason for a 4 star is that $400 for a dinner for two is - well higher than expected.

Great place for a breakfast date. Nice classy setting. Over zealous on the service though. Had 3 people come up literally 30 secs apart multiple times asking if we were ready to order.

Food was amazing! It seemed like it was a little understaffed when we were there but it had very little effect on our dinner. Great drinks too and the wait staff were very helpful in finding a wine for.my wife that fir her tastes and paired with he food.
