Was in town for a golf tournament ( which Michigan State won!!!!!) and headed into downtown Chapel Hill for dinner. This place looked like a campus hangout so I stopped. The food was good and they served Sam Adams so all was well. The crowd gave me some grief because of my MSU attire but we all agreed that Duke was the Devil so we got along.

Linda's is the only bar I go to now on Franklin. Cozy dive-bar vibes and cool bartenders. Make sure you tip them well, because they deserve it.

Great late night food and cozy atmosphere. If you like a dive bar atmosphere without the sometimes unsanitary aftertaste, you'll love this spot. The full menu is full of variety and flavor, and the late night menu has everything you need to keep you going for the rest of the night. Downstairs bar hosts a lot of interesting and fun events. Very possibly my favorite spot in Chapel Hill.

Excellent selection on tap, ranging from macro-brews to local NC brews. Great bar food (loaded fries) and trivia nights as well. Highly recommend!

You should only go here if you want an amazing experience in a wonderful bar/restaurant. We had the loaded tater tots which were smothered 'n covered.
The pot roast was so beautifully tender and paired with garlic mashed potatoes. I was not a fan of the coleslaw so I would order a different side next time. Chris, the owner was super friendly (as was the rest of the staff) and checked in on us to make sure we were having a great experience. He really takes pride in his place and it shows.
I would go back here every time I visit Chapel Hill.
