    Tasty food, relaxed attitude and a nice patio. This is a good spot for casual lunch or dinner. Order at the counter and choose a table in the spacious dining area. Lots of people sitting and working.

    We had a BLT pizza and a Meatball sandwich. Both were really good. The pizza had a sweet taste probably from the caramelized onions and the pizza had loaded meatballs in it. I could barely finish it!! Living in Chapel Hill for a long time it was the first time we tried there. Inside was big and had a relaxing ambience. It also had some local items to shop. Love this place and will be back again!

    Each dish is made with clean, fresh, locally grown ingredients that each present their own notes in a melodic splash of flavor. The warmth and enthusiasm of the employees translucently conveys pride in the place they work. This place is trendy, cultured, and a great place for a feast, a snack, or just a coffee!

    My husband and I rented the Root Cellar for a welcome reception (~60 guests) the night before our wedding. Tina Infanti, the Catering Director, was wonderful to work with and gave great guidance on ordering. The night-of staff were incredibly helpful and the space was warm and welcoming. I can't recommend the Root Cellar highly enough!
