My seller and I enjoyed good conversation and a great breakfast here on a Saturday morning, while it poured outside. Word of mouth at the local landfill steered us here, specifically for the biscuits & gravy. Which were outstanding by the way, in my all-time top 5, easy. Met the owner while we also enjoyed OJ's with our eggs and hashbrowns. A veteran, Army as I recall, turns out the biscuits & gravy recipe was his father's, from a truck stop he ran in Indiana/Ohio. Being born and bred in the mountains of Western North Carolina I feel like I know good southern food. I would highly suggest a visit to the Garden Cafe. I'm taking my wife back for the biscuits & gravy. My, my, my.
Where else can you go for an amazing meal, gorgeous art and spectacular flowers? Right here at the garden cafe. The service is amazing, super friendly and inviting. The food is delicious. We ordered breakfast and the hash brown casserole is TO DIE FOR! I am SO glad we are moving here because this is going to be one or my regular places to visit. Portions were not too big and the overall experience was not just 5 star but a full 10 stars in my book.
Wonderful host! The food is creative and delicious. We eat here often
We were there on a Saturday evening. I had the Bass. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the ribs and they were very good. The warm sourdough bread was to die for. Mashed potatoes were delicious too. If you’re in the mood for a little dessert, the whiskey bread pudding hits the spot. I’m looking forward to going back next Saturday. Just about the best place to eat in this area.
Awesome breakfast and very reasonable prices. I had an omelette and my wife had the French toast and they were both superb! Not too busy at around 11:00am so no wait. Was a great stop on the way to Chimney Rock!
