The menu changes every day. Meals come with one meat and three sides. The sides are very large portions. At our table, we got fried okra...crispy good, macaroni n cheese...delicious, potato salad...a bit dry, coleslaw...chunky but dressing good. I got fried chicken...not crispy or very seasoned chicken cooked great, juicy. Others got catfish...seasoned perfectly, crispy, two large pieces.
We had a great night at the Magpie! Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. Our food was AMAZING. We started with the smoked wings (yum!). The fried Catfish and roasted chicken are both fabulous entrees! (If you want the ribs, go early!!) All the sides we tried, especially the fried okra, were delish. Definitely visit the Magpie Meat & Three!
The food here is simply stunning. So flavorful! You can't go wrong with any meat but get the mac-n-cheese, grits, collard greens and fried okra sides. Everything, the appetizers, salads, entrees and sides have amazing flavor. Top that off with friendly, fast service. You won't regret your visit to Magpie.
Went here for dinner with a large group. Good selection of craft beer. I got the smoked chicken wings and mac & cheese. Both were very good, especially the smoked wings and the sauce that was on them. Service was good for the most part. If you go with a large group be prepared to wait to be seated and to be served after ordering.
Great atmosphere, very casual. Good selection of beers. Chicken wings were awesome and really enjoyed the catfish Po Boy. Magpies partners with many local farms and businesses. We enjoyed our first time there and will definitely return.
