“We had wanted to try this restaurant sooner but finally had an opportunity to drop in tonight. We ordered the mussels from the appetizers and a pizza and were not disappointed. The mussels were delicious with a sauce so good that my husband was tempted to drink it straight from the bowl. The pizza was also tasty with a wood fired crust , plenty of arugula, and a drizzle of balsamic. We look forward to returning!”

Delicious and gooey on the inside while staying crunchy on the outside. I don't know how you could do it better. Kale salad was a very nice side.”

“Get the ice cream! I know... it is a BBQ place right? ... My wife and I came in for dessert. They will make the ice cream with the flavor right then. It is really, really good. It is a bit pricey but it is the "best" ice cream in Waxhaw... yes even better then the one across the tracks (which is also great and a bit cheaper).”

“Great place in Downtown Waxhaw. Service was super friendly and quick. We were in a large group during lunch today. My only issue was my burger was over cooked. I said medium, but the burger was almost well done. I am sure they would have replaced it if I said something, but I was hungry so I just ate it.”

“Had 3 very large homemade ice creams of 3 nice flavors for a good price. Much cheaper than the new fancy strip mall across the street. Facility is a bit run-down, but sit outside and you can enjoy the weather. I'd suggest they add seating on the other side also, so you can look in toward the new development as well. (The street side can get a bit chilly in March.)”

“Great pub! Even some of the staff have awesome Irish accents. We go often and recommend the Sheppard’s Pie, Reuben Rolls, and Fish and Chips. I am sure the rest of the menu is yummy, but we all loved what we ordered the first time and haven’t branched out yet. It used to be a bit loud but they added room deafening panels and I noticed a big difference. There is a restaurant section if you bring the kids too. On St. Patty’s Day they rent the area under the water tower just outside and it’s a party! An Irish Live band was there last year. That area is 21 and over. It’s a favorite spot among the locals. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on a TV show one day. Awesome place.”

“What a little hidden gem inside Trax Stop and Shop downtown Waxhaw. The owners, Dave and Marianne have transformed this run of the mill gas station into an awesome Cafe, convenience store and of course you can still full up with gas. With a great price for great food from breakfast and lunch to daily dinner specials, coffee and much more. It might not look much from the outside but it's worth a visit. And they have Donuts from the famous Sugar Donuts on the weekend. Check em out if you get a chance.”
