It has a drive their for times when you know your order and want to get it on the go. The location is at the far end of Monroe and not in the best part of town but worth the drive if you are craving ice cream!”

“Always the best! I'm 47 years old and this place has been in business ever since I can remember. Their chicken is top notch, and I'd put it up against granny's home fried chicken anytime. Nothing beats home cooking, but Hathaway's sure can compete! The gizzards are melt in your mouth tender which is exceedingly rare for a restaurant to serve them that way. Most just fry them up and give them to you tough as nails. The livers are fried to perfection, tender and juicy, not hard and overcooked. If I had one small complaint, it would be the sweet tea. That stuff is almost syrup! I definitely recommend lightening up on the sugar, guys. Overall though, 5 stars and well deserved.”

But the livermore seemed to been taking directly from the freezer pressed on the grill and it wasn't fully cooked. The edges were actually cold”

“It is still fast food but they at least seem to take pride in what they are serving you. The food was all hot, well put together and very much edible. Nothing was messed up in the order and the service was quick. Only thing I can say is that the drive up window area needs to be cleaned. The walls, windowsill and windows all could use a good cleaning. As we sit in this area and wait we have nothing to do but look around and it doesn't present a clean appearance.”

“This place is great. Hands down. I stay in Charlotte, but every time I come to Monroe, I have to stop by and grab me something. Sometimes my daughter goes to visit her family down there. I tell her to pick me up 10 wings flat and fries and bring it back. It can be 2 hours after picking my food up and she bring it back to me and its still hot. No lie. Just love me some Mr G's. Oh can't forget about about the customer service. Always on point. Keep up the great work, its greatly appreciated????”
