“We found this place heading up I-85 to DC. Great find! We stopped in for breakfast and were very pleased we did. First, they serve Larry's Coffee which I enjoy. Second the spinach, mushroom, & city ham omelet we ordered was very tasty. Nicely cooked fresh spinach. The two of us shared it, the generous bowl of very tasty grits, and toast along with a side order of fresh fruit and we're quite satisfied. We will be stopping here again. Thanks for a lovely breakfast.”

“Good soul food. Passing through town, and looked up this place. I wasn't too disappointed. Collards cut up the 252 Eastern Carolina way, just the way I love them. However the mac and cheese wasn't up to par for a real soul food restaurant. Also the cake that I was told was fresh baked, wasn't good at all. I would eat here again just wouldn't order those items.”

“Excellent Menu Options and Excellent Customer Service! :) Hardee's has a great variety of menu options....also some great specials! Also the manager was SUPER NICE AND HELPFUL! She helped make my day go better! Excellent place to stop by if you need a vegetarian french fries treat on your way up Hwy 158! l've eaten at this particular Hardee's since I was a little girl in the 70s!! I can still remember the Hardee's "Fun Machine" and getting these plastic play coins to put in it! Remarkably, this Hardee's still serves Henderson, NC! Way to go, Hardee's of Henderson! :)”

“I had the lunch special 6 buffalo wings and fries. The wing were okay, but not my preference, the way they were prepared. They were like regularly fried chicken. The blue cheese that came with them was good. My children had spaghetti and meatball off kid's menu. They liked it, but said mine tastes better. I tasted it, i didn't like it. It didn't taste anything you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. Their prices are reasonable and they provide excellent service. There was a nice crowd, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza to go, it was GOOD!! Nice, hot and fresh with right amount of sauce, cheese, and crispy crust $1.25!”

“We ordered some pizza last night for delivery and although the driver was fast and nice he forgot our dipping sauces that we paid additional money for. The pizzas were still hot when they arrived however the stuffed cheesy bread was way too buttery and as a person who loves butter I never say that about anything. I kept joking with my sister about that’s where her missing garlic butter sauce went. They must’ve poured it on top of the bread. We also ordered one of the pastas to try and although people were saying how good it was it’s a very small amount for the price.”

“Cheap. Fast. Easy. Not bad if you like cheap sushi. Even better if you love orange chicken. Green beans are fresh and perfectly cooked. You see servers snapping away in the dining room when it's slow to get them ready. Staff isn't rude, but that southern custom of talking to people like old friends isn't there either. As someone that can to NC from NYC, I'm perfectly comfortable without that.”

“I have visited several Smithfield's locations over the years, but have been to the Henderson, NC location the most. I've enjoyed both chicken and BBQ at Smithfield's. It is delicious and always consistent from location to location and visit to visit. The chicken is perfectly battered and fried to crispy perfection on the outside while still being juicy on the inside. The BBQ is great eastern NC style vinegar based. The restaurants are always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We've also used Smithfield's to cater family reunions and again the chicken, BBQ, and sides are always cooked to perfection. If you're looking for a reasonably priced meal that tastes delicious I really don't think you can go wrong with Smithfield's!”
