The food here is pretty good, but several times I have tried various preserves and jellies they sell via the Produce Box and they are pretty bad. Super stiff from too much pectin or using very under ripe fruits. Not good. Jelly is supposed to shake, and preserves should be able to spread on something other than concrete.
The baked goods here are amazing! The chocolate crinkle cookie is one of my all time favorites when it comes to cookies. The food is also good. The spinach feta quiche is one of my favorites. The vinegarette that they make is also amazing, it's one of the few salad dressings I actually like.
The coffee is... Fine, I guess. It's not bad, but it's also not great. The biggest issue is that the flavor syrups are absolutely awful. Its aggressively average.
The staff are nice and very helpful. Service isn't too slow, but it's definitely not fast. Getting baked goods is usually fairly quick, but food can take 10-15 minutes for a single dish some days.
Seating can be a nightmare here some days. Coming during typical lunch hours usually means every table is full. I'm usually able to find seating since I'm alone, but trying to find a table for 3 or more is definitely going to be difficult on weekends or at lunch.
The biggest issue is cost. La Farm is EXPENSIVE. A quiche slice and a latte is nearly $20 after tax. Add a couple pastries and you can easily be looking at $25-30 for a single meal plus a dessert pastry. The brunch menu can be a slightly better deal since it comes with a scone and breakfast potatoes, but it's still pricey. I'd recommend La Farm if you're looking for a slightly nicer lunch/brunch location.
Stopped by and was super happy I did! I had a coffee and cinnamon roll, both of such were great. My kids had a breakfast sandwich, the ciabatta bread was tasty. The eggs cheese and bacon were the perfect filling for it. Will definitely visit at some point again!!
Absolutely love this bakery. Service is friendly and efficient even on Saturdays when they tend to be super busy. Every item I've tried here so far is always fresh and amazing. Cookies, scones, white chocolate pastery (I forget the name) all really delicious. The Madam Croquet (I may be mucking up the name of this) is my go to for breakfast. Absolutely delicious. I always ask for sauteed spinach to be added. I do wish adding raw spinach was an option but really that is just my preference and not a deal breaker.
Every time I go to La Farm, I am determined not to go back for a while. Though their pastries are exceptional, the wait for the food is always too long (30 minutes or more) and/or my order is incorrect. It's a wonderful place to be if you have nowhere else to be! The food is fantastic; just know you are in for a bumpy ride with the service.
