D&S Cafeteria

I have been taken to D & S by family and friends a few times in the last three or four years. The food is delicious, the place clean and comforting, the people are friendly, the prices are good... and on and on. If I didn't to drive from out of town I would be a regular customer. We did make a special trip there last night. It was worth the drive.

The restaurant offers a good selection of options in salads, meats, vegetables, & starches. The desserts are wonderful & the best selections & portions. The meats & veggies for the most part are bland & lack seasoning, but you do have choices. The service there is GREAT & rated as a 5 star; & the owner actually walks around and asks how you like your meal, & they will quickly exchange any food item you don't like. The Owners & managers also can be seen sitting in the restaurant among customers eating at various times. Everything is a-la-cart, and some meats are pricey with small portions. Large lot & plenty free parking. Note: It can be a little tricky finding the restaurant for the 1st time, as it is in the rear of a plaza, so nor easily noticeably.

It was not as crowded as I anticipated for Father's Day. We got a good table and the waitress was pretty attentive considering. The food was good but a bit expensive. $9.00 for a single thin piece of fish is a bit much. Expect the sides to be a little bland but there's definitely a variety. The manager was friendly and kept the guests engaged. I noticed when the server wiped around the food trays,sometimes the dish cloth would touch the food. Overall, it's a good restaurant.

Similar to a K&W or J&S cafeteria but loved the customer service, good was delicious and I was so happy they give you lil pitchers of whatever it is you are drinking too keep on the table for refills! I was thirsty that day and their sweet tea is good! I went right at opening on a Thursday, no wait time and all the food was fresh and to temperature!
