I LOVE this place. It’s so warm and inviting but still with appropriate space for the current situation. I’ve already been 3 times and the food is amazing each time! I HIGHLY recommend the short ribs and the fried green tomatoes are a must! I am not sensitive to gluten so the gluten free part isn’t an issue but I definitely could not even tell the difference! I will be back again soon!
We felt extremely safe and spread out from other diners- first and foremost. You can tell this restaurant takes social distancing very seriously. We have not been out, and wanted to try this gluten free restaurant. It did not disappoint!! From start to finish- we were impressed. The food, the presentation and the flavors were amazing- are to believe that it’s completely safe for those of us with allergies! We will be back!!
Went to their opening night, very organized and safe. Tables were appropriately spaced, staff wore masks and sanitized frequently.
Food was very good. Highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer. Drinks were inventive, bar was on point. There were a few wrinkles, not unusual for opening night, but I'm looking forward to returning. Of special note, they're planning live music, there was an extensive menu list for for food allergies, and several dishes emphasized local/seasonal ingredients.
Tucked away back and near Jelly Beans the Rollerskate space is Cary's new digs, The Lodge at Cypress Manor.
First impressions were great. It's a big space, feels just like you're in a log cabin, hence the name haha.
The bar area is nice, it's all very well done. They have live music, which I think they will have on the regular, several days each week. Once the restrictions are lifted, this will be a great spot for a drink and to hear live music.
The cons, which arent that horrible, the menus are dark and it's a dimly lit place, making it almost impossible to read. The menu is all gluten-free, which doesn't have to be a problem, but we ordered a Flatbread pizza to share and it was out right awful.
We were told "well, it is GF so you so expect a little difference." And, our response was no, no we shouldn't have to exchange flavor for having a GF food. Our dessert was awful too. Despite the initial response to our food, out service was really good.
I will be back though. Like I said, it's a great spot for a drink and to hear music. I'll eat here again, but I'll just order something different.
This is not a good decision to bring your kids to, not a family situated environment.
We were excited to try this new restaurant in Cary and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere with live music, comfortable seating, good lighting and fantastic floors! Cocktail and dinner menu both thoughtfully crafted with lots of local ingredients. Highlights of tonight’s dinner: Peaches & Green cocktail, Braised Short Ribs, cast iron cornbread poutine, and Blood orange creme brûlée. Service was friendly and attentive, and food was great. Kid-friendly too! Also the entire menu is GF. Look forward to trying it again!
