Stopped in this cute little place for breakfast as we rolled through Raleigh NC. Near the Capital building. This cool spot had an awesome biscuit sandwich. We were asked if we thought the price was fair, wanted to pay less, or if we wanted to volunteer an hour of work to pay for our meal. We thought the price was fair and had our breakfast Biscuits. A mound of homemade spicy cheddar biscuit with a thick hand pressed sausage patty and eggs. This was a local contributor to the community. Help locals in need while serving great food.
One of the best brunches! I had a chai latte (perfect blend of spicy and sweet), fried eggs, mashed avocado with pickled onions, spicy cheddar biscuit (subtle spice that builds as you eat), and lime creama. I also had a cinnamon roll to-go. Everything was super fresh and delicious!
Love the concept of people being able to pay what they can or even get a free meal thanks to others!
Awesome place. Awesome mission. I observed the way the staff interacted with the volunteers. Beautiful. Kind. Compassionate. Nurse was also there giving advice. We need more of these. Community outreach is so important. Thank you. Food was pretty good too!
A really unique place. The food is good a lot of vegetarian options even some vegan stuff you can find. You can also work an hour to payoff your meal.
We were visiting Raleigh and came across this restaurant.
It’s a pay what you can cafe, a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to help the ones who can’t afford to eat.
The food was really well prepared and very tasty. I love the concept.
I would definitely come back!
Thank you so much to all the volunteers that make this happen.
