My husband had the BLT for lunch (and loved it) and wanted to bring food home for dinner! I was pleasantly surprised as to how it traveled. The bottom bread was a little soggy, but the flavors were great! I got the Joey and it was delicious! One of the best reubens I've had! My husband had the turkey sandwich and thought the meat was a tad dry. He wishes there was a bit more mayo on it. We also got a Non Gov't Cheese for our toddler. He didn't eat it, but hubby and I split it and man, let me tell you, that is a crazy good sandwich. The best of the ones we tried! The chips are thick cut and crunchy! They reheated well in the oven the next day. We'll definitely be back!
Fantastic new deli spot! More expensive than the average sandwich but these sandwiches are literally overflowing with meat. It reminds me of what Mitch Hedberg said about NY delis putting so much meat on their sandwiches. He walks into a deli and orders a Reuben. The cashier asks if he'd like anything else with his sandwich. Mitch says, "Yeah. A loaf of bread and a group of friends to share this with." We miss you Mitch
I have a dear friend who wanted matzo ball soup. I was so pleased that I could find a fresh option here. They also serve the very same black and white cookies that you can find in Grand Central station in New York. And the potato latkes with sour cream are so yummy!
The Reuben was amazing reminded me of Carnegie deli, the corned beef was absolutely amazing and piled high. By far the BEST Reuben I've had since I left NY . The matzo ball soup was delicious and authentic as well.
This shop occupies an important piece of the downtown scene: the deli shop. The meats are well spiced and full with lots classical sandwiches and a few of their own specials. Highly recommend for that tall NY sandwich cravings!
