The atmosphere is quant & quiet - upstairs 2nd level restaurant with a bar. I had blackened salmon with 2 sides. Enjoyed the salmon; not so much the sides. Menu limited & a bit pricey for meal quality. Service was pleasant. Pay street parking til 6 p m. is available in vicinity; a challenge to find a space.
Killer, hidden gem. Even on a super quiet Tuesday the kitchen put out some amazing food, no slacking. Oh, yeah, and half price wine?! Count me in. As a first time visitor to Raleigh, this place calls to mind the rustic European bistros that feel more like you’ve been invited to someone’s house for dinner than eating at a stuffy haute cuisine joint. Super casual and laid back with very high class plates.
This place is so much fun. Creative food ideas, and amazing drinks.
This will be our new "go to" place for sure.
Careful, you may walk right past the small door on Glenwood and that would be a mistake. Rockford is a small upstairs bar/restaurant that has great food and great service. The menu is diverse and includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, full entrees and specials. The crab cakes were some of the best we have had; the bread pudding- and I'm not a big bread pudding guy- was unbelievable! Pricing is extremely fair, service great and the bar was great! Don't miss this hidden gem.
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food was fresh and expertly prepared! The owner was so nice and welcoming, the whole staff was! If you're unsure where to go for lunch or dinner, give them a try, you wont regret it! Also, try the cheesecake, it's to die for!
