The Mill Raleigh

I was very surprised when I walked into the mill compared to the restaurant it used to be. As soon as you walked in the atmosphere was very comforting and the smell of smoked meat. Greeted your nose with great pleasure. We had a party of four and three of us got garden salads. one with salmon added. everyone loved what they ordered. I ordered the open faced Ruben, which was fantastic, the prices may seem high, but the quantity of food that you get I think is worth it. An upscale treat that's worth the visit. Once people start knowing this place is open, it's going to be hard to get in. We sat for dinner on the patio and other then a friendly carpenter bee buzzing around, it was the most relaxing time I've had in awhile. The food was incredible and the flavors blended together to a savory delight. The cheesecake was made in house and was pure creamy silk. We all tried each other's plates and I normally dislike salmon but I will order it next visit because it was so good! And the service was very attentive but not intrusive and the manager came by to check on our meal. She even asked questions and also brought us a sample of a side we had chosen to skip. Overall a delightful experience I can't wait to have again.

If you're thinking of trying this place, do it! You won't regret it. We made a reservation and was seated promptly on our arrival. Evan was our server, and he was super quick and efficient.

The patio area is cozy and clean with flowers. Service was crazy fast. We tried a couple of drinks, and the bartenders were definitely on point. I tried the rye crusted salmon, as pictured. The flavors were fantastic, and everything was cooked perfectly. The others in my party tried the pork chop with blue cheese mac and cheese and the fish and chips. Everything was cooked beautifully. We all split a slice of cheesecake, which is made in house and is easily the best we've had.

The menu feels high end, the quality is fantastic, but the prices are still reasonable. We will definitely be back.
