Torchy's Tacos

It is open somewhat late (wish it was later) and that is appreciated to get this quality of food. Fantastic tacos, I try to stick with breakfast tacos for goodness and cost effectiveness. Did you know you can get half size queso if you are just one person? Pro tip and doesn't break the bank if you want a filling snack.

So glad to have some Texas in NC.

When we went it was super busy (which remained consistent the whole time we were there) but the line moved relatively quickly. We were able to order cocktails as well which elevated it from a 'fast-food' feel. The selection was nice. We ordered the queso & chips to share (so good it could be addicting), and a variety of tacos. My taco choices were the fries avocado and the blackened salmon. Both were delicious! We each mentioned how good all the food was and that we would be back.

My friend from Texas raved about this place and urged us to go. We finally went and the line was out the door; Torchy's seems to have already made a name for itself in Raleigh. Overall, we enjoyed and plan to go back. The Baja Shrimp tacos were delicious. My wife had the taco of the month (which is always great according to our friend from Texas). She enjoyed both her tacos. The service was quick, the food was fresh and we left satisfied. Looks like they have margaritas but we didn't try any. Just be wary of when you are going as the line was consistently out the door while we were there!

There was a long line when I got here at 6:30pm on a Saturday, however it went by pretty quickly. After ordering the time from then to getting our food was also relatively fast. As far as the food, it was good but not great. I would say I've had better tacos elsewhere. But overall it was a nice new place to try out.
