Don Julio Mexican Restaurant

Great relatively hidden Mexican restaurant. I believe they have the best chips and salsa in the area. They have a great lunch menu with many $5 specials in addition to the standard in menu lunch. Lunch fajitas are a great value. Decor is very nice and consistent, more upscale than many Mexican restaurants in the area, but prices are still good.

This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last! We couldn't find anything that we didn't like! The booth was comfortable, the service was great & best of all the food was delicious! I had the chicken & spinach enchiladas wrapped in corn tortillas. It was like heaven to me! I'd gotten hooked on them while living in Dallas TX but since back in NC have found it very difficult to find! My husband had the beef taco salad & enjoyed it about it as much as I've seen him ever enjoy anything! The mood music was playing at just the right level - you could still carry on a conversation. As I said earlier we really enjoyed Don Julio's & plan to return again soon. If you like Tex-Mex food you'll enjoy Don Julio's too!

We went here twice over a 3 week period. We enjoyed the extremely friendly staff, which include both native Spanish and native English speakers. They were very patient with us to allow us to practice Spanish with them.

The food was food, and the restaurant was warm on both nights when it was cold outside. That was a HUGE plus.

Seating and spacing is well done, and the chops and salsa were never ending. We have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Wake Forest!

Food was OK- for a lunch time was very slow but the service was great.. food just took a while to be brought out. I love enchiladas and they have minimal enchiladas on their menu. Will go back but not my favorite for Mexican In the area.

A very friendly staff! Every time I have been the wait staff have been on top of it. My water glass is never less than half full. The portions are plentiful; I'm not big on large portions but I usually just take half with me. The decor is typical Mexican restaurant; bright and fun. Full bar on one side (away from main dining room). Food is always hot and fresh when it comes to the table.
