(June 20, 2019, 9:28 pm)Southern fast casual barbeque and fried chicken. Nothing too fancy. BBQ definitely needs additional sauce when eating. You get more fries if you don't get a platter and get a combo sandwich instead. Bright fluorescent lights with music from 50's and 60's. Nostalgic movie décor on the walls. Service is friendly.

(February 16, 2019, 3:06 am)The absolute best Eastern NC BBQ anywhere! I've been enjoy Smithfield's for longer than I can remember. I live in VA now and never pass up the opportunity to eat at one whenever I'm in NC. Their BBQ is seasoned perfectly, and the BBQ sandwhich is my go-to. They still use polystyrene cups and tiny crushed ice, so drinks stay cold for hours (which is very important when driving 3 hours north through VA). My only complaint - no Coke Zero.
