Great place, great food, great location and ambiance, staff very friendly!
Unfortunately I was told that my tip amount didn’t meet their standard?
What is normal tipping? I always thought it is based on your experience.
Well we’re not all perfect and my tip sometimes is reflected on my experience and I’m sorry if you depend on it, then train your staff to give the type of service which is normal and you get nominal tip and over and above I am very generous! But please don’t insult a customer and their family who spends a great amount of time there and spends a lot of hard earned dollars!!
This review is not directed to any particular staffer but to the ownership that need to educate some of their employees

This place is a good hangout joint for a meeting friends and having drink. Even though I don't drink I love to meet my regular friends here and gupsup. They got big screen TVs and some kind of trivia contest going on all the time. I think on Friday they give gift cards too for winners. Overall a decent local joint for a quick hangout

There is a reason JD's Tavern has been in business for a few years. The food is good and the service is good. It has a cool atmosphere and a nice bar that you feel comfortable to bring the whole family to. I got the seasonal Jambalaya this last time and is was good, but maybe lay off of the salt in that Cajun spice mix. Mine was extremely salty. I've also gotten the Cajun Spice Chicken fajitas before and I encountered the same problem. Maybe I need to not order the Cajun Spice. Overall, this place is great and I will definitely be back.

Food was great, service too! First time I've been there. Had dinner, the menu is not huge but enough for anyone to choose from. And they easily made accommodations. It's an open area so it can get a bit loud but we were right in the center and could still hear each other. There were kids there and they seemed to enjoy it too.
