The fried chicken fillet is awesome! Very authentic Taiwanese taste. The rice and the side dishes just perfected the meal!
Delicious! I ordered the crispy pork belly gua bao, which was really good! I will definitely be returning!
Delicious food! Very happy they opened up here in Cary to add some variety.
Love Bao opened yesterday in H Mart. While they are still working on some kinks, the food itself was prepared fairly quickly. I ordered the tofu plate and the popcorn chicken. I was very excited as I had been waiting for a Taiwanese place to open up in the Triangle. I was disappointed, however. The pickled mustard greens that came with the rice plate was too sweet. The cabbage side was fine. The tofu had a bitter aftertaste. I thought it would be a more saucy tofu; this one was dry braised, probably, or cooked beforehand and left in the fridge (which I don't mind since this is a fast food place and most Taiwanese restaurants do this) BUT the flavor was off. The popcorn chicken was the most disappointing of all. I have had better popcorn chicken in chain stores (Quickly's) which is really quite disappointing! The breading was too heavy and it was overcooked. I would still give this place a try and considering their rather vast menu, I may be able to find something that is within my standards of good Asian cuisine. If you grew up in an Asian household with authentic cooking, this place is mediocre.
