This place opened the last night we stayed in Blowing Rock (they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the off season). Our waitresses Kelly and Ellen were awesome and recommended some new goodies that were recently added to the menu - and they did not disappoint. We started off with the Smoked duck flatbread as an appetizer and it was out of this world delicious! Next up was the 4 cheese ravioli which is served with a pesto sauce vs a red sauce. This was my first time ever having ravioli with a pesto sauce and my God was it delicious! Kelly recommended adding a side of smoked duck on top of the ravioli and I was blown away at how much smoked duck was added for 5 bucks! This dinner was by far the best meal I've had in years. As a matter of fact, we came back an hour later to get another order of the smoked duck flatbread to bring back to the hotel. Fast and friendly service and incredible foods...what more can you ask for when dining out. We'll definitely be back!
They had a nice assortment of gluten free options. Warm and inviting atmosphere.
Kelly is not only an amazing leader at this establishment but an asset with her exemplary customer service. Haven't had the food but at at the bar and loved her amazing personality and welcoming demeanor. Can't wait to go back to Blowing Rock.
You guys. I LOVE duck. It’s my jam. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner I could eat duck. I’ve eaten duck on three continents, 7 countries, and there’s no sign of stopping. I came into Storie Street, a swanky lil’ fusion restaurant, expecting palatable grub and a sensible glass of wine, and was met with flavor galore, and Duck-Mageddon! I ordered the pan roasted duck with paella, and MY MIND WAS BLOWN.
The duck was seasoned perfectly, and by that I mean NOT over-seasoned. It spoke for itself, the temperature was perfect, and the whole dish was brilliantly moist.
The kitchen is visible from the dining area, and the chefs were working their tails off to give us a wonderful experience. Thank you Storie Street, and thank you to the staff, chefs and servers, that made this dish wonderful.
Have a Ducking Good New Year!
We’ve been coming here for years. The food is excellent. Taste great and looks amazing. Good staff. Busy place if you are dining at peak times.
