Dog friendly outside with heaters! Food was amazing! We went there twice on our weekend trip. Highly recommend. One note: we went Saturday night and it was packed so be patient and don’t go if you are in a hurry.

I recently visited Boone on a trip for work. I do not ever write reviews for restaurants, I simply don't take the time and usually don't care that much. However, I wanted to share the experience at The Local because it was truly exceptional. Our server was Art who was literally the best server I've ever had. Our entire group has been raving about him for days. I even looked at my boss today and said "HOW AWESOME WAS ART?!"
(Art, you are amazing. I really hope that you're at The Local next time I'm in Boone. But if you're not there, I hope it's because you're off doing great things! You made our night and I've told everyone I know how much we appreciated the service!)
The food and cocktails were also incredible! I had a hard time choosing my meal because everything looked delicious.

The food was pretty good. However it took forever. Not sure I understand either. There were only 2 tables sat in the whole restaurant. It was noon.

Nice bar/restaurant in downtown Boone. We did not have a full meal. Just stopped in for a drink and some appetizers which were very good. Cozy and comfortable with good service and decent beer selection.

My favorite spot in Boone to eat. Great menu selection and prices. Good for the foodie and kids alike. Also has a good selection of brews, wine and cocktails. Wish I could be here when there is live music.
