The Cardinal

Stopped in on Saturday to eat a Bison burger at the Cardinal. We did not wait long to sit, or get our food.
Drinks never ran out.
Service was exceptional.
Food awesome....did I say food was awesome?!

Dad is a Navy Korean war veteran.He always says he was proud to serve his country (1084 LST) in the 50's.
The waiter, and one of the owners came over and thanked dad for his service and stated dads tab had been covered.

Dad was moved beyond words that someone acknowledged him for what he said he did for us.

I cannot say enough about the Cardinal restaurants service and food.

Please go visit them. We WILL be back and recommend them for a meal that can't be beat.

Best burger I've had in a long time! They offer gluten free buns however I never take the chance on those. Their sweet potato's are baked in the oven so they are gluten free also. A bit spicy with the Chipotle on them but they are good. Fast service, clean and cozy feel!

We met a group of friends for an early dinner before a ball game and wanted to eat a good meal, enjoy company and get to the game on time. They seated us at an ample corner table, waitstaff was prompt and offered on target suggestions, and our meals came out quick and delicious. Several of us had the shrimp burger special, and we all immensely enjoyed! It featured beautiful full sized shrimp cooked perfectly...no processed patty! It can be crowded as it is good. Plan if you don't want to wait.

Our day trip to Boone, from Abingdon VA, was a great time because we stopped at The Cardinal to eat lunch on a Sunday. We sat at the bar, greeted promptly by the bartender, and I ordered a delicious craft beer from their wide selection. I was told by a friend that the burgers here at The Cardinal were extraordinary, I was a believer. I ordered the double burger and it came out pretty fast. Delicious flavour, good quality meat and crispy fries. Overall, I had a great experience at The Cardinal and I will most certainly return next time I am in Boone. Thank you!

Popped in yesterday and tried the hot damn ham dip and the cardinal flavor wings. Both were absolutely delicious and would highly recommend you try them if you haven’t yet.
Will be back to try some more tasty food from their menu soon.
