Frisch's Big Boy

I reviewed this place before. I'm honestly thinking that Google Maps is what needs to be reviewed instead of where I go. It asks me ALL THE TIME to review places I've never been, or maybe just drove past & didn't even notice.
That said, Frisch's Big Boy is the same as it always was. On this particular visit though I chose a fish sandwich with onion rings, yum!, & the salad bar BECAUSE IT HAD CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP ON IT. I got my salad then went to get my much anticipated broccoli soup & they had taken that soup off of the bar & put chicken noodle in its place. The other soup choice was vegetable which I have NEVER cared for at Frisch's. I complained about it and my salad bar charge was removed from my bill, but still.
As I've said before, Frisch's Big Boy is no more than an average restaurant serving average food. There is really nothing special about it. It's inexpensive & relatively good quality but that's about it. I just don't get it about the soup though. I was told that someone had said they thought it was runny,& it was as my wife was able to get a little prior to them taking it away. They just should have replaced it with the same kind. Oh well, that just proves another point about Frisch's in general, they are poorly managed. I should know,I've been a restaurant manager in several different companies. Quality, cleanliness, staff ability & product knowledge among a great many other things all falls on the manager although & don't EVER forget it..."THE MOST IMPORTANT JOB IN ANY RESTAURANT IS THE DISHWASHER" without them you don't have anything worth having including a customer base. Dirty dishes drive customers away as does a filthy store besides can be a danger to people's health.

This location is the best in this area. We have 2 closer but prefer to drive out of our way to eat here. Husband and grandson had Fish Baskets and said it was best fish they'd had in a long time. I had pork tenderloin sandwich and onion rings...food looked like it does on commercials! Our server was great. Very pleasant and patiently answering our grandsons 20 questions! Place always clean and employees so helpful.

The service was great. I felt they checked on me and made sure my mother and I were taking care of. I always heard them asking customers if they need anything. I didn't eat, but my mother had the open face roast beef. She loved it!
